From September 23, 2026, to March 31, 2027, the competition invites applications worldwide showcasing how AI is being used to advance sustainable development. There is no application fee.
The Global Call for AI × SDG Best Practices 2026 was officially launched on September 23, 2026, at the Global Digital Trade Expo in Hangzhou. Applications are now open worldwide.
The competition invites companies, universities, research institutions, and innovation teams to submit AI projects that have been piloted or deployed in real-world settings to address sustainable development challenges.
The competition is initiated and led by the Global New Industrial Revolution Alliance (Hong Kong), and co-hosted with the World Economic Council (Austria) and Etion (Belgium). It is organized by the AI Sustainable Development Hub and Siri Insight, with support from the Hong Kong Association of Innovation and Technology, the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Hangzhou Venture Capital Association, and other organizations.
Entries are invited across five categories: AI for Human Development; AI for Scientific Innovation; AI for Climate and Energy; Safe and Trustworthy AI; and AI for an Inclusive Society.
Download and complete the application form from the NIRA website, then email it to event@nira.global between September 23, 2026, and March 31, 2027 (Beijing time). Please use the following email subject line:
AI×SDG2026 Application + Organization Abbreviation + Project Name
Submit one application form per project. Each organization may submit up to two projects. Applications may be submitted in Chinese or English, with both languages given equal consideration. A bilingual submission is encouraged to help international judges review the project accurately.
Please keep the total size of each email, including attachments, under 20 MB. An application is considered received only after the organizing committee confirms receipt by email. For questions, or if you do not receive a confirmation after submitting, contact event@nira.global.
There is no application fee.
We welcome innovation teams from around the world to share AI solutions with the potential for real-world adoption and wider use, and to help advance sustainable development through AI.

摘要：大赛于2026年9月23日至2027年3月31日面向全球征集人工智能促进可持续发展的最佳实践案例，不收取报名费用。
“全球人工智能可持续发展最佳实践大赛”（Global Call for AI × SDG Best Practices 2026）于2026年9月23日在杭州举行的全球数字贸易博览会上正式启动，现面向全球开放报名。
大赛面向全球企业、高校、科研机构及创新团队，征集已在真实场景开展试点或应用、应对可持续发展挑战的AI技术项目。
大赛由全球新工业革命联盟（香港）牵头发起，与世界经济理事会（奥地利）、Etion（比利时）共同主办，由人工智能可持续发展中心、思睿智库承办，获得香港创科业协会、杭州市商务局、杭州市创业投资协会等支持。
大赛设有五个赛道：AI促进人的发展、AI驱动科学创新、AI赋能气候与能源、AI安全与可信、AI促进包容社会。
报名方式
请在NIRA网站下载并填写大赛申报表，于2026年9月23日至2027年3月31日（北京时间）期间发送至 event@nira.global。邮件主题建议为：
“AI×SDG2026报名”＋机构简称＋项目名称
每个参赛项目提交一份申报表；每家机构最多提交两个项目。申报表可使用中文或英文提交，不会因此受到差别对待；推荐提交双语版本，以便于国际评委更准确审阅。
请将单封邮件及其附件的总大小控制在20MB以内。报名以收到组委会的邮件回复确认为准。如有疑问，或提交后未收到回复，请联系 event@nira.global。
大赛不收取任何报名费用。
