Yabin WU

Professor Wu also serves as Ambassador of the World Economic Council and Country Representative for China, Executive Director of the China Association of International Trade, Visiting Professor at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) & Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Postgraduate Industry Advisor at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation under the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) & the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Member of China Info100;\, Expert of the Caixin Insight ESG30 Forum.

He is the former Head of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Beijing. He previously served for many years at MOFCOM, and as Vice Mayor of Yiwu, Dean of the School of International Trade and Economics & Executive Dean of the China Institute for Global Value Chains at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Chief Economist of the China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, Independent Director and Advisor to companies.

Professor Wu completed his postdoctoral research at Peking University and holds a PhD from CAS. He was a visiting scholar at Duke University of US. He also holds master’s degrees from University College London of UK and Renmin University of China, and a bachelor’s degree from UIBE.
